Monat (https://sunsetsandstilettos.mymonat.com/shop)is a naturally-based hair care line that is meant to restore your tresses. It is a PROCESS- not an event, but the more I use it- the more I want to. Monat the first, and only, anti-aging hair care line, that promotes healthy hair and scalp. Monat is Vegan, cruelty free, sulfate free, and is made with botanical extracts, essential oils, vitamins and minerals.
This is when your hair adjusts to the new products Monat removes build up so your hair needs a bit of time to do that. When it does get all the yuck off your strands, your hair is in it's natural state - meaning it doesn't have a bunch of silicones and maxes making it appear healthier than it truly is.
During that time, your hair may feel drier than normal, it may not hold a style as well as normal... But it isn't anything major. Everyone is different, but the detox was no worse than a bad hair day.
You may also notice a little extra hair shedding. Typical hair products actually clog the hair follicle and stop natural shedding. As Monat cleans up your scalp, it'll actually loosen up those hairs that should have fallen out already, but were being held in with sebum, product build-up, pollution, etc.
Each time you wash your hair you wash TWICE. You can use the same shampoo or use a combination of two different formulas. I usually wash my hair twice a week.

Monat helps keep your color going longer because it’s so gentle. That said- it is recommended that you use Monat for one month before doing any color service. After the month mark you are good to go!

I absolutely believe that the rep you choose matters. I have had so many gals say to me that they had such a horrible experience before, but their rep wasn't educated or working this like a business. You need someone who has done the work (and continues to do the work) so they KNOW what they're doing. You also need someone who takes what they're doing seriously. These tends to go hand in hand with caring enough to educate yourself, and thus, your customer.
